Thru-Thinker's January 2007 Grayson Highlands Weekender Hike

For 2001 AT Hike old times sake, and to get out of the house and confirm global warming, Thru-Thinker (Clark), Fingers (Rob) and The King (Brian) trekked a few miles on the AT this past weekend (Jan. 10-13). The Highlands were beautiful, as usual!

The evidence for global warming was a bit shaky at first; we even slept on snow at the campground in Grayson Highlands on Thursday night, but things sure warmed up fast after that.

Despite the name, we managed to find the Lost Mountain Shelter, where we ran into a SOBO hiker (forget his trail name) who has been out almost a year working on a full yo-yo S-N, and now N-S hike.
