BMT Trail Extention-February 2004 
I apologize for not remembering everyone's names that were there that day.  Blondie is the 3rd one from the left, 2nd row back with the purple knit cap on.  Little Bear (Jeffery Hunter-AHS Southeastern Trails Coalition) is wearing the brown coat beside her.  Hopeful (Lamar Powell) is beside him.  Clayton Pannell (Hiwassee Hiking Club) is 1st one on left, front row.  Ken Jones (BMTA & Hiwassee Hiking Club) is beside him.  Stephen Cartwright (Hiwassee Hiking Club President & BMTA Vice President) is 4th from left front row.  If you know any of the others, please let me know and I will post their names, also.

It was a cool day on February 7, 2004 when the group started our work day...though we warmed up quickly!  Notice the snow on the ground.  Temps remained below freezing for much of the trip.  It was a beautiful day to be in the mountains.

No trail maintainer is too small!  This little fellar and his brother had great fun that day working.  They even squeezed in some time to swing out over the hillside on vines hanging from a tree!

Everyone took about a 20' section of the trail to work on at a time.  When we met tough issues like this tree across the trail, teamwork became the solution.  It was great fun to work with this group of folks.
