Photos from a long weekend that I spent with some friend at Katahdin Stream Campground in Baxter State Park.
Day One I climbed 2 miles up the AT to a viewpoint for sunset.
Day Two I hiked up the AT again to Baxter Peak then over to Hamlin Peak, back (#66 on the 4000-footer list for New England). The is was back over to Baxter and then finally over the Knife Edge and down the Helon-Taylor trail.
Day Three was a long loop going over Coe, South Brother and North Brother (#67 and the final 4000-footer in New England). Before heading back down to the car, we also bagged Fort, a bushwhack hike on the 100-highest list.
Day Four was a solo adventure up the North OJI slide trail, which was quite interesting and fun. After hitting a cool outcropping, it was back to the car and a long ride home.
