Alpine Lake. This was a beautiful spot only three miles into the hike. The water was amazingly green, and fairly warm.

In August, 1974, I soloed from Redfish Lake lodge to Alpine, down to Cramer, over the pass to Hidden Lake, on to Snowyside peak, and down to Alturas. What a journey! Nice to see these recent pictures. Brings back great memories.
