VFTT Escarpment Trail fundraiser
A group from Views From the Top (an on-line hinking forum) raised money for The Brain Tumor Society by hiking the entire Escarpment Trail.
Black Dome Loop, May 21, 2005
While the VFTT crew hikes the Escarpment trail, TeeJay and I hiked the Black Dome loop, consisting of Blackhead (3940'), Black Dome (3980') and Thomas Cole (3940') which are the 4th, 3rd, and 5th highest Catskill peaks (after Slde and Hunter).
Hunter Mountain, May 22, 2005
A climb of Hunter, the 2nd highest Catskill peak, on a wet fogging Sunday morning, finished up a great weekend. Although not an explicit goal, on this first weekend of Catskill hiking I climbed the 5 highest peaks of that region.

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, May 30, 2005 Finding ourselves in the city on Memorial Day rather than on the mountains, My wife and I took the opportunity to visit this gem in the big city on a beautiful day. We were amply rewarded.
